Bethesda is a popular suburb of D.C. and it’s no wonder why. Bethesda boasts plenty of attractions, events, and festivals to keep residents connected. Here are some of the top Bethesda attractions!
Taste Of Bethesda. This food and music festival is arguably the most popular festival Bethesda has to offer. Dozens of restaurants and tens of thousands of visitors participate each fall. Admission is free and taste tickets are $5.00 for a bundle of four. Round House Theatre. This local theater is one of the big professional theaters in the D.C. area. In addition to performances, the theater offers educational opportunities to members of the community. Round House Theatre has more than one location hosting additional classes and camps.
Cabin John Regional Park. This park has a number of attractions in and of itself. Incredible playgrounds, trails, tennis courts, picnic areas, a dog park, mini train, hockey rink, and more make this park quite popular. Cabin John Regional park has been enjoyed by Bethesda residents for generations.
Bethesda Row. When it comes to dining, shopping, and services in town, Bethesda Row is one of the first locations to come to mind. With a number of Bethesda’s best restaurants, a handful of salons, and a movie theater many residents frequent these few blocks in Bethesda’s downtown.
Strathmore. A center for the arts, Strathmore offers a range of performances and courses. Residents can get involved in both the visual and performing arts as well as book clubs and writing workshops.
Outdoor Movie Series. For the past 15 summers, Bethesda has enjoyed the outdoor movie series in Woodmont Triangle. Residents can catch five blockbusters and admission is free for all five nights. Just be sure to bring your own lawn chairs!
Festivals And Showcases. The Bethesda Urban Partnership helps to bring a number of festivals and showcases together each year including Taste of Bethesda, the Fine Arts Festival, Imagination Bethesda, and the Writers’ Showcase.
Blues And Jazz Supper Club. This club was opened just a few years ago in 2013. Located in the historic Bethesda Theater, this club hosts performances and a youth orchestra.
